Members of the NYPD’ Intelligence Bureau and a 9 Precinct Neighborhood Coordinating Officer recovered an illegal firearm and narcotics in the East Village of Manhattan last week.
Investigating information, Lieutenant Moncayo and Police Officer Arroyo applied for a search warrant for an apartment in the Lillian Wald Housing Development. Police Officer Venuto, a Neighborhood Coordination Officer from the 9 Precinct, assisted in the operation.
A .45 caliber Taurus handgun, 46 rounds of assorted ammunition and illegal narcotics were recovered.
A 28-year-old woman was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
