APPLETON, Wisconsin — The Appleton Police Department has arrested a 32-year-old Appleton man for practicing medicine without a license.

The Appleton Police Department was recently contacted by someone suspicious of the services being offered at a medical office on E. Wisconsin Avenue. Investigators quickly determined the man offering a variety of medical treatments was not a licensed physician. He also was not licensed to prescribe or dispense medications he had been providing to patients.

On November 28, 2018, a search warrant was executed at the building where “Doctor Kyle Ellis” was conducting his unlawful practice. The man posing as a doctor was taken into custody at the time of the search warrant being served. Evidence of an illegal medical practice was located at the building.

The investigation into the actions of the man is continuing. Appleton Police Department investigators are interested in speaking to anyone who may have contacted “Doctor Kyle Ellis” believing him to be licensed as a doctor or psychologist.

Kyle G. Larsen, 32, a resident of Appleton, has been confined at the Outagamie County Jail. Preliminary charges being requested include Theft by Fraud, Possession with Intent to Deliver Designer Drugs, Dispense Prescribed Drugs without Prescription, Practice Medicine/Surgery without a License, Practice Pharmacy without a License and Unlicensed Practice of Psychology.
