BELFAST, Maine — Maine State Police are investigating the death of a 3-year-old boy in Stockton Springs.
On Sunday, June 20, 2021, at approximately 2:30 pm the Maine State Police’s Major Crimes Unit was notified about the death of a 3-year-old child.
The child was taken by a family member to Waldo Hospital in Belfast Sunday afternoon where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy was performed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Monday, June 21, 2021. The cause of death is not being released at this time.
