NASHVILLE – Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the apparent murder/suicide involving a man and woman from West Tennessee who were discovered Monday afternoon inside a room of the DoubleTree Hotel on 4th Avenue North.
The 31-year-old man was found with a semi-automatic pistol near him and had injuries consistent with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His 45-year-old girlfriend was also found fatally shot. The deceased are identified as Irene Bond, 45, and Geremy Causey, 31, both of Shelby County.
The hotel room access card was last used at 3 a.m. Sunday morning. A hotel staff member discovered the pair at approximately 2:30 p.m.
