NEW YORK — Suffolk County Police yesterday arrested a Bay Shore man after he allegedly killed his mother.
Third Precinct officers responded to 433 East Main St. after a man called 911 and stated he had killed his mother at around 4 p.m. Officers responded and found Barbara Lawson dead in the apartment.
A medical examiner from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner responded and pronounced Lawson, 70, dead. An autopsy will determine the cause of death.
Homicide Squad detectives arrested her son, Logan Lawson, at the scene and charged him with Manslaughter 1st Degree. Police did not reveal a possible motive.
Lawson, 24, of 433 East Main St., will be held overnight at the Third Precinct and arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on November 25.
