NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The woman fatally stabbed late Monday night at Neelys Bend Condominiums, 1301 Neelys Bend Road in Madison, is identified as Ashley Yarbrough, 24, who is last known to have lived in Spring Hill. She was found at the bottom of the stairwell to the C building. Yarbrough died shortly after midnight at Skyline Medical Center.
The 911 call was made at 11:50 p.m. by an acquaintance of Yarbrough, with whom she had an altercation Monday night. That person has denied stabbing her.
Neither Yarbrough nor the acquaintance lived at the condos. Madison Precinct detectives are pursuing leads, but have not yet determined who, if anyone, Yarbrough was visiting. At this point in the investigation, detectives do not believe that Yarbrough was stabbed by a stranger.
