Police: Man Arrested After Computer With 7,000 Child Porn Videos Taken To Repair Shop

DeKalb County, IN – Investigators from the Indiana State Police in Fort Wayne arrested a 24 year old man from Corunna, Indiana this afternoon on child pornography and drug-related charges following an investigation which began last week.

The investigation conducted by Detective Jake Quick began on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 when a laptop computer was dropped off at a computer repair business. During their work with the computer, the business found images of child pornography and immediately contacted police.

During the subsequent investigation, a search warrant was obtained and according to Quick, the computer allegedly contained between 5,000 and 7,000 images and videos depicting child pornography. The owner of the computer, 24 year old Dalton J. Gee of Corunna, was interviewed and taken into custody without incident. At the time of his arrest, Gee was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine, hypodermic needles and other drug paraphernalia. He was incarcerated in the DeKalb County Jail on the following preliminary charges:

– Possession of Child Pornography (10 Counts), Level 5 Felony
– Possession of Methamphetamine, Level 6 Felony
– Possession of Hypodermic Needles, Level 6 Felony
– Possession of Paraphernalia, Class C Misdemeanor

Quick was assisted by the Auburn Police Department, Butler Police Department, the DeKalb County Sheriff Department and the DeKalb County Prosecutor’s Office.
