NASHVILLE — Madison Precinct detectives tonight charged Lamontez Sykes, 22, with criminal homicide for the April 23 shooting death of his girlfriend, Taylor Miles, 20, inside her Star Boulevard apartment.
Officers responded to the scene at 5 p.m. on April 23 after Sykes called 911. He claimed that Miles had shot herself in the head. The Continuing investigation, including analysis of evidence, shows otherwise.
Sykes is being held in the Metro Jail in lieu of $1 million bond.
