NASHVILLE — Wednesday night’s murder of Lam Kwok Lung, 31, outside the 707 Harding Place home where he was renting a room appears to have been targeted and may be connected to the drug trade.

Lung, who had a driver license listing a Duluth, Georgia address, was found dead just after 10 p.m. beside his vehicle near the carport. He had been shot multiple times. Midtown Hills Precinct detectives believe that he was confronted just as he arrived at the house, where he rented a room about two months ago. A search of that room early today pursuant to a search warrant led to the discovery of more than $25,000 cash and various items consistent with drug trafficking.

A witness reported seeing a four-door sedan, possibly red in color, fleeing east on Harding Place after gunfire was heard.

Detectives are continuing in their efforts to learn more about Lung and what he did while in Nashville. Anyone knowing anything about him is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
