NASHVILLE – The Medical Examiner has determined that a woman found deceased Wednesday morning outside a condominium complex at 125 Davenport Drive died from strangulation. Homicide Unit Detectives are classifying the death of Gina Dotson, 33, as a homicide.
Dotson had met a male friend late Tuesday night in the parking lot of the Davenport Condominiums. They arrived in separate vehicles. He reported that they talked, drank alcohol, and he ultimately fell asleep in his car. He said that when he awoke around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, he found Dotson unresponsive by her car and called 911.
The male friend and other witnesses have been interviewed. The investigation, led by Detective Derry Baltimore, continues.
