Saratoga Springs, NY — RELEASE: Just prior to 11 pm on Thursday, December 29th, the Saratoga Springs Police Department responded to an address on Lincoln Avenue in the City. The nature of the call was that an 8 year old girl had reported being subjected to inappropriate contact by an adult male.
This was to have taken place a short time prior to the call to the police department. Officers and investigators arrived quickly and began their investigation. It was determined early on that Michel Capone was the subject of the investigation and he was located within the apartment building in question a few minutes after our arrival.
The investigation showed the 8 year old girl was asleep on the couch in her apartment when Capone allegedly came into the apartment, subjected the girl to the inappropriate contact, and then left the apartment.
The girl was woken up by Capone’s conduct and alerted family members once Capone exited the apartment. The girl was not physically injured during the incident; however she was transported to Saratoga Hospital as a pre-cautionary measure.
This was not a random act as Capone was regular guest of the apartment and known to the victim and other family members. Capone was arraigned and committed on $500,000 cash bail.
