Rapist On The Loose In Brooklyn; NYPD Issue Alert & Release Sketch

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male who is seen in the attached police sketch and is sought in connection with an attempted rape within the confines of the 71st Precinct. Details are as follows:

It was reported to police that on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 7:30AM inside of the laundry room in a multi-unit residential building in the vicinity of Lincoln Road and Flatbush Avenue, the victim, a 30-year-old female, was doing laundry when an unidentified male entered and approached her with his pants down and exposed himself. The unidentified male demanded that the victim engage in sexual activity with him. The victim refused. The unidentified male stated that he had a knife, sexually assaulted the victim and attempted to rape her. The victim ran from the laundry room and encountered a neighbor who called 911. The unidentified male exited the building and fled on foot. No knife was displayed or recovered.

The unidentified male is black with a light complexion, in his mid-20s, 6’04” with a muscular build. He was wearing a black hat, a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
