Policemen traveled from far and wide to pay their respects and honor one of their own this morning in New York City. Officers arrived by foot, car, boat, and plane from across the country to be part of the memorial service honoring and remembering fallen NYPD officer Rafael Ramos, 40, who was murdered one week ago with his partner Wenjian Liu.

Outside the Christ Tabernacle church stood a sea of officers, each in black dress uniform, watching the service on large screen televisions.

While conservative estimates put the number of officers in attendance at approximately 10,000, others estimated that as many as 20,000 to 25,000 police officers made the trip to New York for the service.
