DETROIT — Michigan State Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a road worker was fatally struck on a Detroit interstate.
On Monday, around 3 00 PM local time, State Troopers were dispatched to a road worker that was struck and killed on eastbound I 94 near 9 Mile Road in St Clair Shores. The vehicle that struck the worker fled the scene after the crash.
The worker was near a orange road service vehicle when he was struck.
Currently, there is no description of the suspect vehicle.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident should call 313.237.2450. Next of kin have not been notified. The investigation is on going. The freeway is closed at 8 Mile Road.
