Lexington, SC — On the afternoon of Monday, September 28, 2020, information was given by several sources to detectives that a human fetus had been delivered by a woman at her home within the Town of Lexington and that she had taken the fetus to a residence in the City of Columbia, where it was buried.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office, Richland County Coroner’s Office, and the Lexington Police Department executed a search warrant for the residence and property of 2315 Wallace Street in the City of Columbia.
On Wednesday, Chief Terrence Green said the search had ended.
“The multi-day search on Wallace Street in the City of Columbia has concluded,” Green said. “This remains an active investigation but no further information will be released at this time.”
