SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The man who is accused of firing a shotgun at a Sheriff’s Deputy yesterday has been identified.

Bexar County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Saturday afternoon who fired a shot at a deputy trying to apprehend him. It happened near FM 78 and Old Seguin Road, near Judson High School around 4 p.m.

Tevin Devon Humes is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Deputies were trying to arrest Humes, who was fleeing from them, when he pulled out a shotgun and fired at one of them. The deputy did not return fire. No one was hit.

With help from Converse Police, Humes was taken into custody a short time later after running away.

It’s believed Humes was involved in a domestic dispute moments before where he fired shots at a woman.

No one was injured in that incident, either.

The investigation is ongoing.
