Tenn. Death Row Inmate Nicholas Sutton Chooses Last Meal Before Scheduled Execution Tonight

NASHVILLE – Tennessee death row inmate Nicholas Sutton is currently scheduled to be executed at 7:00 pm (CST) on Thursday.

Sutton, 58, was sentenced to death in 1985 for the murder of a fellow inmate, Carl Estep, was stabbed 38 times.

According to WBIR, Sutton had been serving a life sentence ‘for killing his grandmother, Dorothy Sutton, when he was 18, and he also has been convicted of killing two men in North Carolina, John Large and Charles Almon, also when he was 18.’

He has chosen to die in the electric chair.

Sutton has selected fried pork chops, mashed potatoes with gravy, and peach pie with vanilla ice cream for his last meal.
