Watch dramatic video of a police chase spanning two counties in the San Antonio area Tuesday. The video was shot by the suspect himself as he streamed it live on his Facebook page. The chase ultimately ended in a shootout near a school. The suspect is identified as Felix Santos, 48. He was wanted on a parole violation for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
“My office, Pleasanton Police Department, DPS investigators and highway patrol were taking part in an operation when this happened,” said ASCO Sheriff David Soward.
“The suspect went up I-37 before reaching I-410, the Bexar County police deployed spikes on I-410 which were successful in deflating two of his tires on the pick-up truck, but did not stop him from fleeing,” said Sheriff Soward.
Eventually Santos stopped, exited the vehicle and shot at police, who fired back. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition but later died.
