GLENDALE, Ky. — The Kentucky State Police (KSP) report a CSX freight train derailment took place on Thursday afternoon in Hardin County.
The incident occurred in downtown Glendale around Hwy. 222 and resulted in at least one person receiving treatment for minor injuries.
According to local media a semi-truck got stuck on the tracks and obstructed the train’s path on Gilead Church Road, which caused the train to come to an abrupt halt, resulting in the derailment.
No dangerous substances were involved in the mishap, officials said.
