CALIFORNIA — The victims of Friday night’s shooting have been identified as Kayla DeBorde, 19, of Fresno and William Harris, 17, of Fresno. DeBorde leaves behind a 17-month old baby.

At 11:40 pm Friday, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center received a 911 call of shots fired at a home on the 7200 block of Orange Ave. in Fresno. A large party was taking place at this location and there were 100 – 125 guests in attendance. A disturbance broke out and shots were fired. Two people were killed and a third person went to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Deputies arrived on scene and detained several people for questioning. No arrests have been made.

It’s believed both teenagers and young adults attended the party. Detectives are asking the public for help in obtaining video and pictures taken at the party on the night of the homicides. Detectives have already collected some video, but are seeking more.

Detectives have learned through their investigation that this party was advertised on social media, which likely contributed to it becoming such a large gathering.

This marks the 7th and 8th homicides of the year in Fresno County. There have been a total of four double homicides in 2016. There were a total of nine homicides in Fresno County in 2015.

Anyone with additional information on this case should call the Fresno County Sheriff’s Detective Jose Diaz at (559) 600-8206, the dispatch center at (559) 600-3111 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP (7687). You will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a $1,000 cash reward.
