KINGSVILLE, Texas — U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Kingsville Station discovered a runaway juvenile during an immigration inspection at the Sarita checkpoint on Sunday night.
During the inspection, an agent noticed a blanket covering the backseat of the vehicle and upon consent to remove the blanket, found an undocumented immigrant. During records checks, agents learned that the driver and a female juvenile passenger were United States citizens.
The juvenile, discovered to be a runaway, was uninjured and it is currently unknown why she was involved in this case.
The undocumented immigrant will be processed accordingly and the driver will be referred for prosecution.
