President-Elect Donald Trump‘s daughter was verbally harassed on a Jet Blue flight in New York Thursday.
According to ABC News, Ivanka Trump was with her children en route to Hawaii for vacation.
The unruly passenger was shouting things like “Your father is ruining our country!”…. “Why is she on our flight?!?”
Hunter College professor Matthew Lasner tweeted it was he and his husband that were causing the disturbance.
(These tweets have since been deleted.)
The two men were removed from the plane by JetBlue employees–the Secret Service was not involved.
JetBlue issued the following statement: “The decision to remove a customer from a flight is not taken lightly. If the crew determines that a customer is causing conflict on the aircraft, the customer will be asked to deplane, especially if the crew feels the situation runs the risk of escalation during flight. In this instance, our team worked to re-accommodate the party on the next available flight.”
No charges have been filed.
