The North Korean military launched an “unidentified missile eastward” from Pyongyang Friday, South Korea’s military says.
“North Korea fired an unidentified missile eastward from the vicinity of Pyongyang this morning,” the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) told Yonhap.
In response, South Korea held a ballistic missile drill of its own.
The United States is aware and are monitoring the incident. Several ballistic missile tests have been conducted by North Korea throughout 2017.
On August 29, 2017, at 6 AM JST, North Korea launched a ballistic missile over Northern Japan.
