DALLAS, Texas — Video surveillance shows a silver Doge Neon parking on northbound S. Lamar Street. A black female exits the vehicle, walks to the front doors of Jack Evans and drops off what appears to be a gift bag.
On August 6, 2015, at approximately 2:30 a.m., an unknown female approached the main doors of Jack Evans Police Headquarters at 1400 S. Lamar Street and set down a large gift bag. The female then walked back to her car and drove away. Dallas officers were unable to determine the contents of the package and called EOD.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team responded and inspected the package. Both Lamar Street and Belleview Street were temporarily closed. It was determined that there were no explosives in the package. The incident remains under investigation.
