The NYPD is looking for a man who walked into a Washington Heights, Manhattan fashion boutique and slashed an employee’s face last Friday. The horrific attack was caught on surveillance video.

The incident happened at Steph’s Designs on Audubon Avenue around 3:30 p.m. local time.

The unidentified suspect entered the business, asked the 22-year-old victim a question, and then cut her across her nose “with an unknown cutting object,” the NYPD says. Nothing was stolen from the store.

The victim, identified by the store as Desteny, suffered serious injuries and will need several reconstructive surgeries, according to a GoFundMe page:

Friday March 26, A random man walked into this young lady’s work place and slashed her face. She is currently at the hospital and blessed to be alive but still concious that she will now need several reconstruction surgeries. She will be out of work until God knows when with large medical bills. Unfortunately we live in a world where first impressions matter and now my friend’s face is ruined because of a hate crime organized by God knows who. All we know is that there is a God and whomever did this will pay. We are asking for people to warm their hearts for this unforsaken situation and help her out as much as possible, anything counts even the smallest donation.

WARNING: Video may be disturbing to some

The suspect is approximately 25-28 years old, 5’11” – 6′ tall, 180 lbs. and was last seen wearing a black track suit with purple and orange bands on his elbows and blue sneakers.
