WATCH: (Scroll Down For Video) Terrifying video footage has emerged showing a half-naked child hanging on for dear life with his head stuck between bars as he is rescued by firemen.
The People’s Daily Online reports that the boy had been left alone at home when he climbed out of the window and fell through the security bars on Thursday.
The shocking footage was filmed in south China’s Liuzhou city, Guangxi Province. It shows three firemen rescuing the child who was held up by a man underneath.
A man can be seen at the top of a ladder holding up the small boy using only his forearm.
He uses his arm to form a seat for the child to sit on while he waits to be rescued.
It is understood the man in the video is a neighbour who saw the child hanging from the bars then quickly reacted.
From the footage filmed in Xianglan village it is clear that the boy’s head is completely stuck as the firemen begin to cut him out.
Throughout the whole incident, the small child seems calm or in a state of shock and manages to keep hold of the bars until the very end of the rescue operation.
It is unclear how long the boy was stuck in the bars before he was rescued. It is also unclear as to why he was left at home alone wearing hardly any clothes, and what happened to him after this video was filmed.
