WATCH: (Scroll Down For Video) Hundreds of migrants from a camp in Greece have managed to break through a border fence and cross into Macedonia.
A Reuters photographer has estimated that the number is closer to 2,000.
A spokesperson from the Macedonian police said: “We are taking measures to return the group to Greece…police and army have heightened security on the border at critical points.”
Macedonia closed its border on March 9th, leaving over 13,000 migrants in Greece.
EU leaders are set to meet on Friday to discuss how to stop the illegal migrant flow from Turkey to Europe.
