NEW YORK — A Rochester meteorologist who was fired after uttering a racial slur during a Friday broadcast is speaking out.
WHEC chief meteorologist Jeremy Kappell was fired for saying “Martin Luther coon King Jr. Park” on air. Kappell claims his word choice was a “simple misunderstanding.”
