Employees in the officer said they saw a fire start in the elevator of the tower that quickly grew.
Six emergency rescue crews, 25 fire engines and 125 firemen were dispatched to the blaze.
Emergency services managed to bring the blaze under control within half an hour.
The building is a huge multi-purpose skyscraper in Shenhe district of Shenyang.

Emergency services confirmed that no casualties were reported.
