ATASCOCITA, Texas — A woman wearing an ankle monitor was arrested after she allegedly punched and drew a gun on a man when he coughed.

On Saturday, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 18900 block of Woodglen Shadows Drive due to a disturbance call.

According to police, the victim said that when he coughed, Patrice Grandy asked if he had COVID and ‘made comments’ that they had been drinking out of the same glass. She then allegedly punched the victim in the chest and pointed a handgun at him.

When deputies detained her she was wearing an ankle monitor and was found to be out on bond for Aggravated Assault and Harassment of a Public Servant.

Grandy was arrested and booked into the Harris County jail, charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Her bond was set at $25,000.00 out of the 248th District Court.
