HOUSTON, Texas — Investigators in the Harris County Precinct One Human Trafficking division have arrested a woman believed responsible for promotion of prostitution.
Jingxia Sun, 39, was arrested on July 23, 2020 at “G Massage”, located in the 5100 block of Antoine Drive in Harris County. This was an undercover operation initiated after a citizen tip and complaint about prostitution at this location.
During the course of this investigation, deputies rescued a 65 year old woman who was living at the business and had been recruited online from Los Angeles to engage in prostitution. The victim speaks Mandarin and does not speak or understand English. She has no friends or family in the United States and had nowhere else to stay. Investigators worked with Harris County Precinct One Human Trafficking Victim’s Liaison Kathy Griffin along with YMCA and Rescue USA to translate and provide the victim with resources and a safe place to stay.
Sun is charged with third degree felony promotion of prostitution.
