NEW YORK — A small airplane with three people on-board crashed in Westhampton Beach Sunday.<\/p>\n
Two people were killed and one was seriously wounded, according to several local media outlets.<\/p>\n
The FAA says the plane crashed into several trees as the pilot was practicing take-offs and landings at the Gabreski Airport in Suffolk County.<\/p>\n
The victim who survived was medevaced to a hospital.<\/p>\n
The FAA will lead the investigation.<\/p>\n
Francis S. Gabreski Airport is a county-owned, joint civil-military airport located just north of the central business district of Westhampton Beach.<\/p>\n
