CNN political commentator Angela Rye refused to say that President Trump was her president in a panel discussion on Monday. Instead, she referred to him as “your president” on two separate occasions.

Angela Rye appeared on John Berman’s show to discuss Russian meddling and potential collusion with Trump campaign officials during the presidential election with former Republican Rep. Jack Kingston.

Kingston defended Donald Trump Jr.’s June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower with Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya saying, “Do you really think they would have had five people in a meeting if this was about collusion with Russia, it just defies logic.”

Rye responded by claiming, “There are a lot of things that your president has done to defy logic—let’s at least acknowledge that.”

Kingston immediately fired back, “Your president too, Angela. Your president, too.”

“Well, he’s your president,” Rye responded.

Anchor John Berman closed the segment by stating Trump is “the president of the United States.”
