NEW YORK — Utica College was placed on lockdown Monday due to a ‘real, credible threat,’ the university said.<\/p>\n
“Everyone on campus is to remain sheltered in place,” the school said in an alert. “Please get to a safe place and remain there until you are told the shelter in place direction has been lifted.”<\/p>\n
“Individuals are asked to confine themselves by whatever means possible and remain indoors to secure their safety while the threat is handled by law enforcement,” the college says.<\/p>\n
The exact nature of the threat was not known.<\/p>\n
No injuries have been reported.<\/p>\n
