The search warrant was reportedly issued after a referral from special counsel Robert Mueller.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office for the Southern District of New York executed a series of search warrants and seized the privileged communications between my client, Michael Cohen, and his clients,\u201d Stephen Ryan, Cohen&#8217;s lawyer said. \u201cI have been advised by federal prosecutors that the New York action is, in part, a referral by the Office of Special Counsel, Robert Mueller.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In January 2018, Cohen used Essential Consultants LLC and pseudonyms to pay, in October 2016 prior to the presidential election, adult film actress <a href=\"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/stormy-daniels-claims-she-was-threatened-after-agreeing-to-speak-about-alleged-trump-affair\/\">Stormy Daniels<\/a> regarding an alleged affair she had with Trump in 2006.
