Ostring, Jr., 48, drove up to the victim in his silver Dodge 1500 pickup truck under the guise of asking her the location of any nearby shelters. He then reached out of his window, grabbed the victim\u2019s purse and forcibly yanked it away, causing the 70-year-old to hit the asphalt hard.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Byh8-FNGaZc\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>An arrest warrant charging Ostring, an ex-con, with robbery has been issued.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-120293\" src=\"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Gilbert-Ostring-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"281\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Gilbert-Ostring-3.jpg 281w, https:\/\/breaking911.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Gilbert-Ostring-3-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 281px) 100vw, 281px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Officers are now trying to locate him. Ostring is still believed to be driving the Dodge truck, which bears Tennessee license number 8K76T3. Anyone seeing Ostring or knowing his whereabouts is urged to immediately contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.<\/p>\n<p>Ostring has multiple prior convictions out of Davidson, Williamson and Knox Counties for offenses including theft, forgery, identity theft, fraudulent use of credit cards, and reckless aggravated assault.
