Officers responded to the area and located the victim, a 35-year-old Hampton man, within a residence and suffering from a gunshot wound.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for what is considered to be a life-threatening injury by members of the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue.<\/p>\n<p>Preliminary investigation has revealed that the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal argument that then turned physical when the suspect shot the victim.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect, a 13-year-old Hampton male, has been charged with one count of Malicious Wounding and one count of Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HAMPTON, VA. &#8212; The Hampton Police made an arrest in connection with a shooting investigation that occurred on May 13, 2018.
