{"id":125270,"date":"2018-12-27T18:38:35","date_gmt":"2018-12-27T23:38:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/?p=125270"},"modified":"2018-12-27T18:39:29","modified_gmt":"2018-12-27T23:39:29","slug":"just-in-woman-pleads-no-contest-to-brutal-unprovoked-brick-beating-of-91-year-old-man","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/just-in-woman-pleads-no-contest-to-brutal-unprovoked-brick-beating-of-91-year-old-man\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman pleads no contest to brutal, unprovoked brick beating of 91-year-old man"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WILLOWBROOK, California &#8212; A 30-year-old woman entered a no contest plea today for severely injuring a 91-year-old man with a brick in Willowbrook this summer, the Los Angeles County District Attorney\u2019s Office announced.<\/p>\n<p>Laquisha Jones of Los Angeles entered the plea to one count of elder abuse, infliction of injury.<\/p>\n<p>Jones also admitted allegations of using a deadly and dangerous weapon, a brick, during the commission of the crime and that she inflicted great bodily injury upon the victim.<\/p>\n<p>Jones also admitted that she was convicted in 2017 of making criminal threats.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZJkdDWJ657w\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Jones is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 28 and is facing 15 years in state prison.<\/p>\n<p>On the evening of July 4, without provocation, Jones attacked the elderly man, who is now 92, with a brick near 118th and Robin streets in Willowbrook.<\/p>\n<p>Following the reported assault, the victim was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and Jones fled the scene, according to the prosecutor.<\/p>\n<p>After conducting further investigation, law enforcement identified Jones as the assailant and arrested her on July 10, the prosecutor added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WILLOWBROOK, California &#8212; A 30-year-old woman entered a no contest plea today for severely injuring a 91-year-old man with a brick in Willowbrook this summer, the Los Angeles County District Attorney\u2019s Office announced.
