HOUSTON, Texas — Investigators have charged two people after shooting into the home of a 13-year-old girl in north east Harris County.<\/p>\n
Investigators say that Steven LeBlanc Blanco, 28, and Allison Strong-Matyas,19, were responsible for the shooting that wounded a 13-year old as she sat on her bed in the 14500 block of Maeline drive.<\/p>\n
Deputies were called to the home at 4:30 p.m. yesterday, January 10, 2019, when they arrived a family member told them that she and her sister were sitting on a bed in the home, when they heard a pop and glass breaking. She said her sister slumped forward with a small trickle of blood on her upper chest.<\/p>\n
EMS was called and the 13-year-old was transported to Houston Northwest Hospital in stable condition. She is expected to make a full recovery.<\/p>\n
Deputies began searching the area after a witness reported a white colored truck with a male wearing a red hoodie stop along the side of the home and shoot one time into the residence.<\/p>\n
Deputies were able to find surveillance video from a local business.<\/p>\n
A still photo of the vehicle was shared on social media urging citizens to help locate the truck.<\/p>\n
At around 10:00 p.m., a witness reported seeing the truck at the intersection of Greens road and Aldine Westfield in a convenience store parking lot. When deputies arrived, Blanco fled in the vehicle and a small pursuit was initiated.<\/p>\n
Blanco and Strong-Matyas , bailed out of the truck in the 3000 block of Greens road, and fled behind the City Of Houston Fire Station 64.<\/p>\n
After a brief search, Blanco was found hiding in a storage container on the property.<\/p>\n
His female companion was found along a side street and was also taken into custody.<\/p>\n
Blanco is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and felon in possession of a weapon.<\/p>\n
Strong-Matyas is also charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, as she was also in the vehicle when Blanco shot into the residence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
