FLORIDA — The Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred at an Amazon facility Monday.<\/p>\n
Deputies say three people were shot, one fatally outside the business—located at 12900 Pecan Park Road. At least two others suffered graze wounds.<\/p>\n
Assistant Chief Brian Kee said two men armed with handguns hopped out of a silver car around 2 p.m. local time and started shooting at a line of people who were there to apply for a job.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is not random. It was specifically targeting this victim,\u201d Kee told reporters. \u201cWe are not inside the facility at all.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re trying to determine what the motive was why they were after this victim. We have about 10 eyewitnesses that were both inside and outside of the facility,\u201d said Kee. \u201cThis does not appear to be a workplace violent incident that you would normally associate with workplace violence or mass shootings.\u201d<\/p>\n
No arrests have been made.<\/p>\n
