Batavia, NY — On Wednesday, New York State Police arrested Colleen L. Nelson, 49 of Alabama, NY for Attempted Murder 2nd degree, Attempted Assault 1st degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree.<\/p>\n
Around 1:30 P.M., Troopers responded to Oliver’s Candies factory, South Main Street in the town of Elba for a stabbing. Police say Nelson came up behind another employee and began to stab him with a large knife. The 59-year-old victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
Nelson was arrested without incident. Police did not reveal a possible motive.<\/p>\n
