Both officers were treated in the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of the collision is being investigated. The crash comes after a separate minor collision involving a bus in the motorcade.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">VP Mike Pence&#39;s motorcade was involved in an accident with a dump truck near Pittsburgh. The Vice President is not injured &#8211; WMAL<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Breaking911 (@Breaking911) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Breaking911\/status\/1288877371509088256?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 30, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Pittsburgh Public Safety would like to thank Vice-President Pence and members of the United States Secret Service for the concern and attention they showed the two injured officers,&#8221; police wrote in a statement. &#8220;Vice-President Pence stopped to tend to the officers personally; a gesture that was greatly appreciated by the officers themselves, and by the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Grateful for all of the law enforcement officers who support us and help get us safely to where we are going each day.
