Out of an abundance of caution, he will be examined this afternoon by an orthopedist.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Biden&#8217;s physician, Dr. Kevin O\u2019Connor initially said, <em>\u201cPresident-elect Joe Biden sustained a sprain of his right foot. Initial X-rays are reassuring that there is no obvious fracture and he will be getting an additional CT for more detailed imaging.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dr. O\u2019Connor later released the following statement: <em>\u201cFollow-up CT scan confirmed hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden\u2019s lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the mid-foot.
