UNION COUNTY, N.C. – A school teacher has been accused of inappropriate contact with students online, according to the Union County Sheriff\u2019s Office:<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Union County Sheriff\u2019s Office detectives arrested and charged Santos Alejandro Valladares, a Weddington High School teacher, with two counts of Disseminating Obscenities and three counts of Disseminating Obscenities to a Minor. Valladares\u2019 criminal arrest was the result of an extensive investigation conducted by the UCSO with the assistance of UCPS administration.<\/em><\/p>\n

This investigation began after UCPS administrative staff received information that Valladares was maintaining inappropriate contact with students online. During the investigation, UCSO detectives learned that Valladares initiated and maintained contact with numerous students within the school via the Snapchat social media application. <\/em><\/p>\n

Detectives learned that during these conversations, obscene material was created and shared by Valladares.<\/em><\/p>\n

Detectives are continuing to investigate this matter and anyone with information on this incident should call the Union County Sheriff\u2019s Office or Union County Crime Stoppers.<\/em><\/p>\n

We will remain vigilant in our efforts to curb any activity related to sexual exploitation.
