{"id":177141,"date":"2022-08-16T16:45:46","date_gmt":"2022-08-16T20:45:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/?p=177141"},"modified":"2022-08-16T16:45:46","modified_gmt":"2022-08-16T20:45:46","slug":"rapper-aap-rocky-charged-in-hollywood-shooting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/rapper-aap-rocky-charged-in-hollywood-shooting\/","title":{"rendered":"Rapper A$AP Rocky charged in Hollywood shooting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gasc\u00f3n announced Monday his office has filed charges against the artist known as A$AP Rocky for an alleged assault with a firearm against a former friend last November.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDischarging a gun in a public place is a serious offense that could have ended with tragic consequences not only for the person targeted but also for innocent bystanders visiting Hollywood,\u201d said District Attorney Gasc\u00f3n. \u201cMy office conducted a thorough review of the evidence in this case and determined that the addition of a special firearm allegation was warranted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rakim Mayers faces two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm with allegations of personally using a firearm.<\/p>\n<p>On November 6, 2021, during a heated discussion in Hollywood, Mayers allegedly pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the victim. In a subsequent confrontation between the parties, Mayers allegedly drew the semi-automatic handgun and fired twice in the direction of the victim, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"A$AP Rocky Charged With Assaulting Former Friend | E!
