The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the suspect, 39-year old Lamar Mitchell refused to pull over. Officers then pursued after Mitchell on North Park Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>The pursuit ended when Mitchell crashed into a vehicle in the area of North Park and Washington Street NE. Mitchell fled his vehicle on foot following the crash behind a daycare center. As Officers pursued after Mitchell, Mitchell forced his way through a rear door of the daycare center as an employee walking back into the daycare center was attempting to shut the door. Officers followed after Mitchell and as they entered the same doorway,<\/p>\n<p>Mitchell raised his hand towards the officers and threatened to \u201cshoot\u201d them.
