Secret Service arrested an Iowa man in possession of a .30-30 rifle and ammunition near the White House, The The New York Times reported.<\/p>\n
The man approached Secret Service officers.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe said that someone had told him that he should come to the White House so he had driven to Washington to do so,\u201d an anonymous law enforcement official told the Times. \u201cThe officers interviewed him there and realized that there needed to be further investigating because something wasn\u2019t right.\u201d<\/p>\n
They searched the mans car and found the rifle along with ammo.<\/p>\n
