{"id":190944,"date":"2023-08-14T19:33:52","date_gmt":"2023-08-14T23:33:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/?p=190944"},"modified":"2023-08-14T19:33:52","modified_gmt":"2023-08-14T23:33:52","slug":"houston-woman-lured-man-to-field-to-be-murdered-by-ms-13-gang-members-with-machete","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/houston-woman-lured-man-to-field-to-be-murdered-by-ms-13-gang-members-with-machete\/","title":{"rendered":"Houston Woman Lured Man To Field To Be Murdered By MS-13 Gang Members With Machete"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Woman Sentenced For Luring Man Into MS-13 Ambush Where He Was Killed \u2018in The Most Brutal And Depraved Manner You Could Imagine\u2019: Prosecutor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>TEXAS (HCDAO) &#8211; A Houston woman pleaded guilty Friday to murder and was sentenced to 30 years in prison for luring a 24-year-old man to a remote area where he was brutally attacked by gang members with a machete and then fatally shot, Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis defendant jumped bail in 2021 to escape the consequences of her actions, but she was re-arrested and, on the eve of trial this week, pleaded guilty for what she did,\u201d Ogg said. \u201cThis was a premeditated and planned out attack and we have now been able to get justice for the victim\u2019s family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Karla Jackelin Morales, 24, pleaded guilty and agreed to 30 years in prison right before a jury was selected in her trial for the murder of Jose Alfonso Villanueva on July 29, 2018.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_190946\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-190946\" style=\"width: 960px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-190946\" src=\"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/J._Villanueva.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"960\" srcset=\"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/J._Villanueva.jpg 960w, https:\/\/breaking911.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/J._Villanueva-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/breaking911.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/J._Villanueva-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/breaking911.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/J._Villanueva-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/breaking911.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/J._Villanueva-696x696.jpg 696w, https:\/\/breaking911.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/J._Villanueva-420x420.jpg 420w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-190946\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jose Alfonso Villanueva<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Morales lured Villanueva to a field in Spring where five members of MS-13 were waiting to kill him. She told him they were going to smoke marijuana to celebrate his birthday.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, the gang members, who have all been convicted in the crime now, slashed Villanueva with a machete and then shot him as he tried to run away. They were apparently mad at him because he had disrespected them in a rap battle. His body was found about a week later.<\/p>\n<p>Morales was scheduled to go to trial in October 2021, but she jumped bond and cut off her ankle monitor to escape detection.
