{"id":19699,"date":"2014-11-26T21:22:36","date_gmt":"2014-11-27T02:22:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/?p=19699"},"modified":"2014-11-27T01:16:26","modified_gmt":"2014-11-27T06:16:26","slug":"breaking-two-men-plot-bombing-of-stl-gateway-arch-killing-prosecutor-police-chief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/breaking-two-men-plot-bombing-of-stl-gateway-arch-killing-prosecutor-police-chief\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Men Plot Bombing Of STL Gateway Arch, Killing Prosecutor &#038; Police Chief"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>St. Louis &#8211;Two men indicted on federal weapons charges allegedly had plans to bomb the Gateway Arch and to kill St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch and Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson \u2014\u00a0the Post-Dispatch has learned.<\/p>\n<p>Sources close to the investigation were uncertain whether the men had the capability to carry out the plans, although the two allegedly did purchase what they thought was a pipe bomb in an undercover law enforcement sting.<\/p>\n<p>The men wanted to acquire two more bombs, the sources said, but could not afford to do it until one suspect&#8217;s girlfriend&#8217;s Electronic Benefit Transfer card was replenished.<\/p>\n<p>An indictment, with no mention of bombs or killings, was returned in federal court here Nov. 19 and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stltoday.com\/news\/local\/crime-and-courts\/two-with-black-panther-connections-charged-in-st-louis-in\/article_bc0d3aea-f21d-5e29-947b-5c777ec2d70d.html\" target=\"_blank\">unsealed Friday<\/a> upon the arrest of Brandon Orlando Baldwin and Olajuwon Ali Davis. Their addresses and Baldwin&#8217;s age were not available; Davis is 22.<\/p>\n<p>The arrest came three days before McCulloch revealed that a grand jury would not indict Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson in the controversial killing of Michael Brown. The announcement triggered looting and multiple arsons in Ferguson.
