WBALTV<\/a>, police responded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 3000 block of E. Monument St around 4:35AM, Sunday morning. Upon their arrival, they encountered a masked man holding a “shiny” metal object. After ordering the man to drop the item, an officer fired his weapon striking the suspect.<\/p>\nAccording to Baltimore Police Deputy Commissioner Dean Palmere, one officer fired at least one shot – striking the suspect in the torso.<\/p>\n
He was listed in critical but stable condition at a local hospital.<\/p>\n
